Evany A. Thomas
What is your tie to h2so4?
A skinny, 80s tie.
What is funny?
It's funny you ask.
What is not funny?
When I say to Richard, "Did you order the pizza?" And he thinks
I'm joking and that I've already ordered the pizza myself, so
he says "Haha! Yeah!" Then we wait and wait for the pizza to come,
for like an hour, and I am so very hungry, and I finally turn
to him and say, "So wait, when did you order the pizza?" And he says, "I didn't." I say, "You're
kidding!" and he says, "No, you're kidding!" and I say, "Wait,
seriously, did you or did you not order the pizza?" And he's all
"No, I never ordered the pizza."
What book should I read?
I really liked The Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing, but a
lot of people hate it I hear, so I hesitate to recommend it.
Why do you (on occasion) work for no money?

I really like "Singin' in the Rain" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

Does not the war perpetuate that which it is called to make disappear,
and consecrate war and its virile virtues in good conscience?
War is hell. And hell is for children.
To what are you addicted? What is addiction?
To me, addiction implies something naughty, a guilty pleasure
that you don't really like to flaunt. So, while I'm physically
addicted to coffee, in that I experience withdrawal when I go
without it, cheap mysteries and certain science fiction novels
are My Addiction.
Do you, too, love Abraham Lincoln? why? why not?
Yes, I love Abe Lincoln because he acted upon his principles.
How does the cameraman compare with the painter?
They both edit their surroundings to suit their message, in that
they choose to capture one thing over another, but painters don't
have to rely upon what is physically in front of them to create.
Authentic being-one's-self takes the definite form of an existentiell
modification of the "they"; and this modification must be defined
existentially. What does this modification imply, and what are
the ontological conditions for its possibility?
Oh Jill. I'm just a poor hoofer in the chorus line, ill prepared
to tap dance in the spotlight.
Is everything popular a debasement of what it would otherwise
be? are we really looking for a salvation or meaning that only
a few can access, with difficulty?
So if I didn't like Wham! in the early 80s, but I really like
them now (yet the essential Wham-ness remains unchanged), is it
my ability to asses and appreciate them that has changed? Is it
because they are unpopular that I embrace them, to be the "difficult
few" that you describe? Or is it simply nostalgia? Whatever. All
I know for sure is that "Young Guns (Go for It)" rocks.
